Dr. Jan Küpfer is a governance specialist with an academic background in business and economics, and professional certifications as CIA and CRMA. Before and after earning his PhD from Comenius University, he worked abroad for several years and has since combined academic research with extensive practical experience in Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC).

He is a guest lecturer at universities and occasionally speaks at GRC conferences. In his role as Head of Governance at Swiss Life Ltd (Life Insurance), he is responsible for key corporate governance matters, including risk committees, audit, compliance, ethics/conduct, operational risk & internal control systems (ICS), as well as information security and IT risk management.
