Markus has been deeply involved in information security for nearly a decade. He began his professional career as an Information Security Officer (ISO) and analyst at a globally operating industrial company. Building on a Master’s degree in IT GRC Management, he has obtained internationally recognized certifications including ISACA CISA, (ISC)² CISSP, and several SANS GIAC credentials.

His areas of expertise include audits, security assessments, and the promotion of a sustainable security culture. In his current role, he advises organizations of all sizes and sectors, pursues continuous professional development, and is actively engaged in the SANS community and the Swiss awareness scene.
