After this training, you will understand the differences between transition risks and physical risks and how these risks impact firms financially. Further you will have a basic understanding of Swiss and international approaches to climate risk disclosure and understand the main elements of a climate risk framework that is aligned with domestic and international expectations and focuses on governance, risk management, and strategy as well as metrics and targets that help track climate-related risks and opportunities.

Seminar content:

• Concepts: climate-related risks, transition risks, physical risks in the short, medium, and long term
• The TCFD as the current international standard for climate disclosure and how it relates to other reporting standards (e.g. SASB, CDP, GRI, G20/OECD Principles of Corporate Governance)
• Integrating climate-related risks and opportunities into a company's governance and management structures
• Regulatory requirements (mandatory and voluntary) in Switzerland, the EU, and selected developments in other countries
